When snowing in the high country and wind is blowing i would not take this hat off. All practicality, real roo leather and fur, beautiful, and quality fine stitching. My family love it and I am not parting with mine so we will be ordering more.
Also love the ear flap detail, small flaps so you can hear better. I had a similar cloth one when young, when the cold wind is blowing in the bush it is such a luxury having those flaps keeping my ears warm.
Importantly Not made overseas
Well worth the price.

This is a sturdy hat built by Kakadu. It has a shapeable brim and ventilation holes on each side. A very high crown which helps remove heat. The leather has a nice weathering to it and looks great!

I purchased an older version narrow brim Soaka in Florida several years ago. It works increadibly well when you're standing out in the hot sun. Just a splash of water every so often keeps you well cooled.
I've used it for several years and it's still perfectly servicable, wore it just yesterday. My wife suggested ordering the newer wider brimmed hats for both her and myself for last Christmas. Product shipped from Australia, I was sent an automatic update on where the hat was every few days. No constantly checking to see if it was in transit.
Product is still as reasonably priced today. Like to wear the new ones when we're going out somewhere, very classy looking. Still use the older one for working around the house and in the garden.still works as well as when I bought it.

I've owned a Dundee in the past, this is a much lighter weight hat but strong and sturdy and great quality like all kakadu products.
