Kakadu hats - or Mates as we often call them - come in all shapes and sizes so you're sure to find a Mate that suits you.

But first things first, lets determine your correct size. Remember you want comfortably firm

Kakadu hats - how to measure your head

Wrap a tape measure or a piece of string (if you use string, you'll need a ruler as well) around your head so that it is above your eyebrows and about 1cm / half and inch above your ears. No need to pull too tight - remember you want your hat to be comfy!

There are some slight variations in size depending on the fabric used for the hat - thicker materials mean the hat fit will be a bit tighter and thin fabrics a bit touch looser

BELT SIZE GUIDE

Step 1: Decide Where You Wear Your Belt

Think about whether your belt will sit on your hips or waist. This will affect the size you need, as these areas might differ in size.

Step 2: Measure an Existing Belt

If you have a belt that fits well, lay it on a flat surface. Measure from the point where the buckle meets the leather to the hole middle belt hole. This gives you your belt length.

Step 3: Measure Your Body

Wrap the measuring tape around your waist or hips where your belt would normally sit. Make sure the tape is snug but not too tight and that it’s parallel to the floor for accuracy.

The Baron was styled after the WWII bomber pilots who endured the frigid temperatures of the high altitudes. It is built from our tough Rhino canvas, trimmed with cowhide and lined with a warm sherpa that will ward off the bitterness of the winter chill.

The Huskie, Baron, Flying Doctor and Inlander are designed for comfort and should have a relaxed fit.

Course woven 100% cotton fabric renowned for its strength and durability. Tightly woven to resist snags and tears.

CARE

Machine washable – wash with cold/warm water and mild detergent to prevent shrinking and preserve color.
Tumble dry on a low setting or hang dry.
Iron on a medium heat if necessary.
To maintain the canvas's robust texture, avoid using bleach or fabric softeners.

Good Gift For the Road

"I bought this cap as a gift for my sister to take on her tour around Aus. Good and cosy and crushes down to easily stow in small compartments without creasing too badly. Nice canvas and a tidy leather chin strap to really cinch the fleece under your chin for top notch weather protection. I asked how she liked it after only a weekend with it and she was giddy like a child so that's basically the best review you could get from her.
