Kakadu hats - or Mates as we often call them - come in all shapes and sizes so you're sure to find a Mate that suits you.

But first things first, lets determine your correct size. Remember you want comfortably firm

Kakadu hats - how to measure your head

Wrap a tape measure or a piece of string (if you use string, you'll need a ruler as well) around your head so that it is above your eyebrows and about 1cm / half and inch above your ears. No need to pull too tight - remember you want your hat to be comfy!

There are some slight variations in size depending on the fabric used for the hat - thicker materials mean the hat fit will be a bit tighter and thin fabrics a bit touch looser

BELT SIZE GUIDE

Step 1: Decide Where You Wear Your Belt

Think about whether your belt will sit on your hips or waist. This will affect the size you need, as these areas might differ in size.

Step 2: Measure an Existing Belt

If you have a belt that fits well, lay it on a flat surface. Measure from the point where the buckle meets the leather to the hole middle belt hole. This gives you your belt length.

Step 3: Measure Your Body

Wrap the measuring tape around your waist or hips where your belt would normally sit. Make sure the tape is snug but not too tight and that it’s parallel to the floor for accuracy.

Two large front cargo pockets? You bet! With side entry hand warmers? God, yes! We've thought of everything to keep those hands cozy when the cold wind's blowing something fierce and of course, finished with our Australia map print lining.

Material & Care

Dry waxed canvas

Durable 100% densely woven cotton canvas treated with a specially formulated dry wax to repel wind and water. Dry waxed canvas has a matte, non-greasy finish that is highly durable, suitable for rugged outdoor use and stylish enough for urban environments

Care

Do not wash or dry clean – brush off dirt and debris with a soft brush and wipe clean with a damp cloth.
Apply dry wax periodically to maintain water resistance and restore the fabric's finish.
Avoid leaving dry waxed goods in a hot car where the high temperatures may affect the quality and finish.
A good rule of thumb is - if it's too hot to touch, then it's too hot for your hat!

When will I receive my item ??

Nice coat even with its flaws

Nice fit. Repels water but the amount of wax in the garment is minimal.
Two negatives.
The side pockets for keeping your hands warm are very much like my Driza-Bone clothing. They are not a natural angle to put your hands in comfortably.
The top pocket stud is out my half a stud making it near impossible to do up. No wonder it wasn't done up like the rest of the studs, so no doubt noticed but still passed quality control.

Disappointed about service

Very nice design. Because of the "dry wax" mention I thought it to be at least water resistant, however it definitely is not unfortunately. Also one of the buttons came of after three weeks and after writing a couple of emails asking for a new button so that I could repair it myself, I never got an answer. (I live in the Netherlands). I am enthusiastic customer but disappointed at this moment.
