Kakadu hats - or Mates as we often call them - come in all shapes and sizes so you're sure to find a Mate that suits you.

But first things first, lets determine your correct size. Remember you want comfortably firm

Kakadu hats - how to measure your head

Wrap a tape measure or a piece of string (if you use string, you'll need a ruler as well) around your head so that it is above your eyebrows and about 1cm / half and inch above your ears. No need to pull too tight - remember you want your hat to be comfy!

There are some slight variations in size depending on the fabric used for the hat - thicker materials mean the hat fit will be a bit tighter and thin fabrics a bit touch looser

The Attachable Hood can be added to most Kakadu drovers coats and jackets. Each hood loop fits between the detachable cape snaps enabling the hood to move with ease when turning your head. Turn the beak up to create a water channel to drain rain away from your eyes or leave it down to cover your glasses.

Oilskin

Heavy-duty cotton canvas impregnated with oils and waxes which is wind and water resistant yet breathable. It is durable and ideal for outdoor use, with a distinctive rugged texture that ages beautifully over time

CARE

Do not wash or dry clean – brush or wipe clean with a damp rag or a spray with a hose if it's really dirty.
Rewax as needed to maintain maximum water resistance.
To prevent the transfer of oils, avoid prolonged contact between oilskin goods and light-colored fabrics, especially in warm weather.
When not in use for prolonged periods, store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to preserve the fabric’s quality and functionality.
