Kakadu hats - how to measure your head

Wrap a tape measure or a piece of string (if you use string, you'll need a ruler as well) around your head so that it is above your eyebrows and about 1cm / half and inch above your ears. No need to pull too tight - remember you want your hat to be comfy!

There are some slight variations in size depending on the fabric used for the hat - thicker materials mean the hat fit will be a bit tighter and thin fabrics a bit touch looser

BELT SIZE GUIDE

Step 1: Decide Where You Wear Your Belt

Think about whether your belt will sit on your hips or waist. This will affect the size you need, as these areas might differ in size.

Step 2: Measure an Existing Belt

If you have a belt that fits well, lay it on a flat surface. Measure from the point where the buckle meets the leather to the hole middle belt hole. This gives you your belt length.

Step 3: Measure Your Body

Wrap the measuring tape around your waist or hips where your belt would normally sit. Make sure the tape is snug but not too tight and that it’s parallel to the floor for accuracy.

Description

The Gibson Hat is a bona fide piece of Aussie ingenuity, designed to keep your dome comfy, stylish and out of the sun. Crafted out of kangaroo leather, a material that boasts lightweight and water-resistant styling, the “Gibbo'' can be worn from the Bush to Bondi.

The hat features a lower pinched crown for comfort and medium brim for versatile wearing. It includes a chinstrap to keep it strapped to your head, and a suede hand-braided hatband adorned with the iconic flying roo metal logo on the side, to show off to those city-slickers.

Premium kangaroo leather enhanced with a wax finish for enhanced texture and water resistance

Care

Do not wash or dry clean – brush off surface dirt with a soft brush and/or wipe clean with a damp rag.
Periodically apply a leather wax to maintain water resistance and protect the finish.
To avoid oil transfer, keep away from light-colored fabrics, especially in warm conditions.
Avoid leaving leather goods in a hot car where the high temperatures may affect the quality and finish of the leather.
A good rule of thumb is - if it's too hot to touch, then it's too hot for your hat!

What I ordered and what was on the delivery docket were the same but the hat I received had a different code. I rang and spoke to someone who said that sizes had changed but didn't address why the included product was different from my order. I have worn it twice. It is bigger that the old one I have and I don't know if it will stay on in a strong wind. We shall see.
