Are Kakadu coats and jackets waterproof?
Our oilskin jackets and coats repel rain and wind. Reproof when water beads stop forming on the surface. Our canvas jackets are not waterproof but keep out the wind due to the tight weave.
How durable are these coats?
Built like a brick dunny and they get better with age. Hard yakka tough.
Can oilskin coats and jackets be reproofed?
Yes, our oilskins can be reproofed to get them back to their original weather-ready state - we think it’s best done with our Microwax reproofing cream but there are heaps of other brands out there too.
Are coats Aussie-made?
Our coats and jackets are made offshore to keep our prices affordable for our customers — all our suppliers are carefully selected to meet Kakadu’s quality standards.
Do Kakadu coats suit winter travel?
Too right — rugged warmth for cold mornings and campfires.
How do I care for an oilskin coat?
Brush dirt, sponge cold water, air dry. Not suitable for machine wash.
Can I return a coat if it doesn’t fit?
You can return or exchange your coat within 30 days.
