Part of the rugged Workhorse series of Kakadu garments, you can't beat the Workhorse Vest for an early morning wind-stopper or mid-layer, and since sawdust brushes off with ease, it's a favorite in the woodshop. Built from 12oz traditional oilskin and lined it with 100% cotton, it features a drop tail back with adjustable tabs a stand-up collar that forms part of the snap-down front storm placket and covers the brass zip vest closure. We kept it clean by adding 2 welted handwarmer pockets and included security pockets on the inside.
The Workhorse Vest Features:
- Hand warmer welt pockets.
- Cotton lining with Australia map print.
- Zip + snap placket closure•
- Built from heavy-duty water-repellent & abrasion-resistant Microwax canvas.

I bought this vest to replace a similar type I had last used 20 years ago, different brand. After googling and finding this company and the vest, I thought I would give it a go. It has been everything I hoped it would be. It is what the company describes it as. The measurements were correct and I have been using it for a month now. I use it for horse riding and it keeps me warm but not too warm whilst riding. The zips, pockets and fit are excellent. It is already like my comfy old one used to be. Very happy to have found this company that supplies vests like this at a reasonable price.
It is a great jacket
The vest is as I imagined it would be , great for work outdoors, fancy enough for an Aussie BBQ!!
Fits well, warm as toast, and the backflap keeps the breeze out😉
I did not want designer - I did not want Fancy - I did not need a million pockets.
I wanted a good piece of sold kit - well made and did exactly what it said it did.
That is exactly what you get here with this vest.
A well made vest that should stand the test of time and use, I already own a coat - so sort of knew what I was getting with this item.
I was so impressed with the coat I bought from Europe that following BREXIT when the products were no longer available in the UK, I order this item direct from Australia and the service was great Australian post and Royal mail between them got it from Australia to my home in the UK, within a week, which is brilliant considering it takes 2 weeks to get stuff from Europe.
The price was good and I would recommend this company and its products based on my experiences and I will be buying from them again in the future.
